I have the best job in the world. It's been a winding road to get here, and it's been littered with detours and blessings in disguise.

My childhood dream was to become a physical therapist. I loved the idea of helping people move and become stronger so they can do the things they love. Even when I didn't always enjoy the schooling, I pressed on. I earned my bachelor's and my doctorate and began to practice as a licensed PT.  But it simply wasn't the right path for me in the end—not for my body (I have some medical limitations) and not for my personality (I'm very introverted).

It was a confusing time for me. I spent two school years working in Special Education, and when our girls came along I gladly stayed home to focus on them. I had a lot of time to look back and see the common threads through all the things I've enjoyed or done well: a love of learning and a heart for listening and encouraging others. I've always thrived on the written word, whether I was writing short stories for fun, studying languages, editing a piece of writing for a friend or organization, or just curling up with a good book. I understand myself best when I write, and it's always inspiring to see someone else write their story down. 

So that's why I'm here: to help you tell your story. When we're working together, I'll do everything I can to help you tell it in the way it deserves to be told.
